SIM2 HT5000 DLP Projector: First Look
Price: TBD Highlights: Three-chip, 1080p DLP projector, outboard DigiOptic Image Processor, single and dual 300-watt lamp configurations. If you're looking for a projector with the outrageous horsepower required to fill up the screen with a ton of light and ton of pixels, the HT5000 might be for you, provided you've got deep pockets- while no firm pricing is set this projector is projected (pun intended) to start at $50K and go up from there, depending on configuration. A brief demo of an early prototype at CEDIA showed a very bright, punchy and detailed image on an enormous screen. Available in Q1 of '07.
