JVC DLA-HD1 D-ILA Projector: First Look
Price: $6,300 (MAP) Highlights: Three-chip 1080p D-ILA, new optical engine gets better blacks without use of dynamic iris system, Gennum video processing JVC's D-ILA 1080p front projectors have produced sexy, seamless images for years, so it's a big deal whenever a new one hits the market. The DLA-HD1 is a three-chip 1080p rig that uses improved fill factor and a new optical engine with improved light polarization to get better blacks without the dynamic iris systems that are popping up everywhere else. On top of that, the DLA-HD1 features name brand video processing by Gennum and better still, comes in at just $6,300! Available in February, and we'll be first in line for a review sample!
